whatauses dogs to have seizures?a friend has a Austrialan sheppard.she has had several lately. She was extremely stressed.Herowner went to Colo.hunting and she had never been away from him, since he got her.now he was with her today. Then today she had 2.There was a bunch of people and she was nervous. He finally put her in his truck as she knows if the truck goes she goes and she calmed down.I thought it might be the stress.I am going to check my herb book for remedies. She is beautiful dog and is usually calm and laid back, gets along with people well.

can be caused by several things. blood sugar, inherited, brain tumors, etc. but most are brought on by stressfull situations. they do seem to run in the collie families too. they can put her on people phenobarbitol just keep weening down to the lowest dose that will keep her seizure free.(if it wasnt a low blood sugar thing). I have seen dog food make a difference. Sue had her Italian grey on a low grade of food and she had several over a 6 month period she switched her to one of the top brands and has not had any the last few months.

epilepsy, liver not functioning properly, high white blood cell count are three I've come across. Had one that had a 2 or 3 this summer a couple days after getting really overheated, gave him 2 weeks off, hasn't had any since

I got my herb book out and it sys what you have toldme.I think it was stress as she was very nervous.I calle my friend and she was fixing someherbs for Rusty. This is temporary until they talk to the vet.Dorothy ground of some calcium, valariun and milk thistle. These herbs are natural elements that our bodies absorb where the pres.meds stay in your system.Valarium is natures valum,it was copied from nature.A lot of these are whatwe should be eating everyday. The better grade of dog food probably had what the dog was needing in his dietThere was this big todo over testerone being a steroid. That was funny as testerone comes from sassafras root. The old timers every spring would dig the root and drink sassafras tea as a tonic.
