close enough will ask Jerry. Why? This subject always seems to come up every decade. The poor dog was a victium of someones jealousy. I will stand he was probably one of the best ever a dog that could and would make you a beliver.

Made me a believer Was told he would track a track off a fire trail right or left I thought Bull-s Untill I was turning a dog for Baughman in a Senior final at New Commerstown The track was laid to beat Hot Wheels and I could see about a hundred yards down a widopen start where the track made a ninty turn to the left --Marked by toilet paper in them days I thought all I am going to see here is dogs scattered all over a hill side straight in front of me About twenty feet befor that turn I seen a dogs tail come up followed by hot wheelds head --Was his tail -- and left they went right down the track I think Fog bet him that day Not by far! The claiming final ended up as I expected the Senior final They were well after dark gathering up dogs that couldn track that track! What a dog!!!

Those were the days and dogs I grew up watching, when I used to Field Trial a long time ago. Hot Wheels was probably the best I saw, but there have been a lot of dogs run since I got out in the mid 70s, and started back up just a few years ago.

I didn't see the finish The start was out beside Rt 77 Jim Laid out that track to beat Wheels But I believe if it weren't for the wheels Fog might not have been there!

I turned in that final also and saw Hot Wheels make that turn into the woods; it was spectacular. I thought that final ended up Hot Wheels 1st and Greyhound 2nd. Not sure.

I seen Hotwheels do about the same thing on the finish at Wessels big race. The finish went along the top of a ridge and then broke to the right down to the tree. He never missed a step and the dogs following him went straight. Some eventually turned and made but it was too late. I think Cut Across Shorty was running 4th and was the only dog that followed him down to the tree. I don't remember for sure but shorty might have won two parts.
