I have been raising full bloods for 13 years and I thought I would let everyone know what we use on the farm and at the kennels. We go to walmart and buy Bayer tree and scrub. It has the same active ingrediant as k9 advantage. A seventy lb dog gets 4 cc's in middle of front shoulder blade.

Thanks for the tip. We will definately try this. The fleas and ticks are so bad here in Ohio.

If you want to treat the ground the best thing to use is diatomeaous earth. It is ground up sea fossils. When all insects come into contact with it they rip thier eco-skeletons onpe and die. Its perfectly safe for animals. Farmers here in texas mix it in cattle and chicken feed as a dewormer.

Ken is correct on the Bayer Tree and Shrub I used it years ago when the only people using it was tobacco farmers and fox houndsmen. The name Admire,Gaucho, Marathon etc . Bayer changed the formula (dosage) now it's readily available in stores. I still have a pint of admire in the cabinet. Just to give you an idea how strong the stuff is in the original dose, it will treat 970 dogs or 97 dogs for 10 years.... The active ingredient is Imidacloprid
