We have someone telling lies about greyhound racing almost daily on the internet. It's usually about one bad apple or complete rumor or changing the facts or something that happened years ago. I saw this on a web site today about field trial dogs and who ever put it up had no idea of what they are talking about - Welcome to the club field trialers. www.rescuedgreyhounds.com/adoption/lurcher.html

That was a complete slap to us as a field trialers who ever wrote that needs to check his or her info the part about the rope was stupid most dogs love to go road. Far better then being stacked up in a Greyhound kennell at the track.

I agree Suzzy but when they talk about greyhounds stacked up all day in cages at the track they have no idea that they are turned out 4 or more times a day and worked in the mornings rubed down after work outs. Maybe its because I was a field trialer but I see others doing the samr thing (walking dogs with a pick up or by hand everyday.) I have never seen anyone with any kind of dog draging it with a car, if I had of I would have called a cop. I was just trying to tell you or show you how stupid some people are and warn you of what we put up with every day in the greyhoind bussiness.

I have a lady that lives 3 doors from us that I have 3 police reports on her. WE rode on a track right here at the house and when she hears the dogs bark she starts driving up and down the road watching me,taking pics harrasing me she has wrote letters to the editor in the papers that I drag dogs, leaves nasty messages on the machine, sends me peta paper clippings about having dogs tied out etc!!! and untill she comes on the property there is nothing I can do it is so frustrating!!! Yet she hangs out at Thisteldown racetrack and takes the horses owners want to get rid of and sells them as pets but thats not profiting/emploiting animals!

This is the kind of shit we get almost daily this was on a blog on the internet today "A Very Important Announcement From StrawMan.borg
Every racing greyhound in America suffers from Acute Stair Deprivation Syndrome, as well as Unfamiliarity With Slippery Surfaces Disease. Unfortunately, this has become an epidemic among NGA bred racing greyhounds. If the NGA were a responsible organization, they would begin a fund immediately to educate the public about these horrible maladies, which not only deprive the racing greyhound of the sheer joy of walking up and down stairs, but of surfing on slippery floors and rebounding off kitchen cabinets. We won't even get into the travesty of Glass Door Deficiency.
Since we realize that we cannot depend on the NGA or the Racing Industry to provide greyhounds with stairs, slippery floors , or glass doors for educational play and activity, we here at StrawMan.borg are proud to announce that we have begun the "Wizard Of Stairs Truth Fund", and your donations, however small and insignifcant, will go a long way toward educating the public about these travesties which are rampant among the racing greyhound breed, and to bring the simple pleasures of stairs, slippery floors and glass doors to every racing greyhound kennel and breeding facility in the US. Help us help the greyhounds.
While you are visiting our website, please take the time to read about Gas Cooking Range Deficiency in Porpoises, and Equine Doll House Deprival, which has become a plague among the wild horses of the American West.
Thank you."
__________________________________________________________________________ Suzie thay would like to close Dubuque greyhound track because the slots make more money for them and they could take where we keep the dogs and the track and make the casino that much bigger but they can't close us down unless they get the law changed but they been trying to get it changed for the last three years.

bob, that is a joke. I mean litterallly an attempt at humor. Pretty succesful also. but I understand what your expressing. The progressives are busy, busy with so many things to get straightened out. Since there is no God , there is so much for them to correct., busy, busy! But be patient, with some of the things coming down the road in the world, they are gonna get a little overwhelmed. Their house of cards may not stand up under the coming storms. peace!
